Way to remove the Skull and Crossbone marker after you die?
Hello, Recently started playing again after a break and died to a tree, (Laughed quite a bit cause i forgot about the mechanics) haha, But was wondering if anyone know's if there is a way to remove the marker on the map,
I know how to remove the custom markers with Right click, but doesn't seem to work on the Jolly Roger looking marker :(

Die again. :)
It only keeps record of your last death.

In my experience, the skull and bones will disappear in one of two ways:
1) If you retrieve all of the items on your corpse, the map marker will despawn within a day or so; or
2) If you die again, your new corpse will spawn a new skill and bones at its location on the map and the older one will despawn from the map immediately. Your old corpse and its possessions will remain. You will see it if you get within visual range. The map marker, however, will despawn.

Oh ok, That's good to know that it eventually goes away, Tryin not to die as i learned you loose alot of points even though Hugin the bird told me you loose some. But thanks for the info Warrench. Appreciate it :) In my experience, the skull and bones will disappear in one of two ways:

You don't lose a lot of points, you lose 5% of your points (so if you have axe skill 20, you will respawn with axe skill 19). Trying not to die is obviously good, but don't worry too much. This game will kill you.

Ahhh ok, I've beaten the game on my old character solo, when it came out. but just forgotten alot of the mechanics. and i remembered at my old characters bow skill dropped down by like 10-20 points neally at 100 as well. Must've patched it or something :| You don't lose a lot of points, you lose 5% of your points (so if you have axe skill 20, you will respawn with axe skill 19).
