integrity check your steam files for valheim.. is there enough space on water to safely land karve? im guessing yes.. try building in another spot maybe?

I've heard of weird ship issues but never experienced them myself. Are you on a multiplayer server? Any lag issues? Or the water too shallow issue as noted above, that would pose a problem, I think. Worst I've done is build too close to my dock and drop the ship onto it by accident, causing damage. Never had one flip over or levitate, but have seen that happen in multiplayer streams.

Strange. never experienced it. Axe it and rebuild at different location.

Only way I've heard to capsize a boat is in a bad storm.

you can axe a boat to get your stuff back. They have a fair # of hit points and this is tedious with the bronze axe.

Why? Check that you are dropping it into deep enough water. It needs to be deep enough to swim in, or just barely less than that, or it can hit the ground on create and act up.
