Time To Come Back?
I saw the new patch about to drop. Looks cool! My group havnt played for about a year. We tried it early and were turned off by 2 things primarily that I'm curious to see if they've been tweaked or fixed yet.
1. Mobs spawning inside the perimeter of your base walls.
This makes fortifications pointless. And with as frequent as they were this was a big deal. And other obvious stuff I dont need to type.
2. Super grindy.
We tried to fix this with a mod last time we played but I'm curious if there have been any changes.

Well for one, it’s not actually out out yet it’s in the test phase so just wait until the full thing comes out and as far as the enemy spawning inside your base, you probably don’t have enough work benches or stones.

Mobs don't spawn in your walls if you have bonfires and workbenches setup. Still super grindy and probably always will be, just stick to mods to remedy that.
Mistlands is on the PTR currently, and it's very grindy, more so than previous biomes, and much more difficult. I'd say it's worth checking out. Might be better waiting for full release of Mistlands vs grinding it out on the PTR, cause who knows what bugs/issues may pop up that will be fixed in the next couple weeks.

I reeaallly want to try the new content but I cleared all my files in preparation and I feel like If i started a new file by the time I got to the mistlands the official release would come out and I would have to start over again
