Level 6 workbench?
To upgrade Troll hide it says you need level 6 bench. But from the wiki it only list 4 items you can make which updated it to level 5. So how do you upgrade the troll hide to level 4?

Yeah the developers didn't think this one through. I mean you can make pretty much any high level cape at a lvl 2 workbench, but all troll items need lvl 3, they should have fixed that in literally the first week but no.
Wrong. I guarantee the developers did think it through. It's like this for a reason.

Yeah same reason why the last boss drops "Yagluth Item" , they thought it through enough to know the game was not finished , but could still be released to early access. It'll get there in time , patience.
