I just wish they'd fix more crashes and do more QoL updates...friend still crashes a lot even after doing every single fix imaginable, the one where it sets you back two saves. Frustrating.

If you take a look at updates, news etc since launch this should essentially answer most of your questions

Kinda depends how well prepared you want to be for Mistlands when the update launches.

It probably doesn't matter in the long run though, especially if the initial implementation is going to have greater than expected number of bugs or balance issues, and how quickly those will get fixed.

As a group, it may be more appealing to begin playing again when the release date for the update is known.

Boring content updates, will be the same boring grindy game after you complete the new repetitive dungeon and the biome boss.

Oh, and a few new building pieces

I actually didn't find Frost Caves repetitive at all so far (still need some more hair lol), but the other previous dungeons can be. So if future updates are going to be anything like Frost Caves and everything related to them, it should be just fine IMO.
