Housing problems
So, I have just buildt my home, it is not that large and it is 3 rooms. I have a roof and walls and a fireplace in every room but I keep getting exposed and almost every tile of flooring and roofing is detoriating.... I build this in an meadow biome, oh and yes it is raining so I am getting wet in my own home with walls and roofs....

No it is a house. but yes i used floor tiles as roof some places so thanks for that

Stone squares can be used for damp free roof too, just takes a bit of jigging to get the support in place if want a long span.

Yeah, only taken down one boss so and only gotten to tier 3 on equipment but thanks, fixed my roofing problem. Been to busy farming mats and not defeating bosses

Stone squares can be used for damp free roof too, just takes a bit of jigging to get the support in place if want a long span.
Iron beams help with that.

Roof pieces don't deteriorate from weather, so you must be using floor tiles for your roof. Those don't protect against rain or exposure. You must use the ugly thatch roof pieces.

If you use iron fortified stone floor tiles they actually do count as roof. Not to split hairs , as i'm nearly certain this isn't the OP's problem.

Are you sure your roof is locked together correctly?

The most common thing I've seen causing this is using floor tiles as a roof instead of roof tiles.

Floor tiles do not work or qualify as roofing if that is what you are using.
