With recent patch, Mistlands are great again
So glad devs actually listen to community feedback! Mistlands were released in a completely broken and unplayable state. Every time my party went into new biome we had to think about all the dangerous new mobs we might run into and prepare accordingly. This meant excessively engaging with food and potion mechanic to accumulate enough of the best for everyone to increase chance of survival. We were always stressed moving into unexplored regions of Mistlands because of the dangers - once or twice we literally run into a party of one-star Seeker (with two regular ones), Seeker Soldier and a Gjall! We literally had to use Bonemass power, potions and coordinate our attacks against the bugs to kill them. And don't get me started on hunting rabbits! I literally had to learn how to do it, worst ten minutes of my life ever.
So glad all I wrote above is finally over. Best update ever!

Then you should've stopped playing anyway after beating the queen cause there is no more progression after that in the game right?Ah I see - my bad, I misinterpreted the game and thought it's about progression. I play with rug tunic and stone axe. Can confirm, the challenge is back.:Deer:

Screw all these progression types, dude. I think devs should go further and make next logical thing happen - equalize stats of all enemies, armor, weapons, food. In-game progression must not be forced. It should be up to us to decide how we want to look like while exploring different biomes. We should decide what food does our character eat. Biome difficulty scaling takes away our ability to chose how we play the game, rendering most of the content effectively useless.
I paid money for this game and if I want to roleplay mushroom-fed druidess in leather armour strolling around freely in Mistlands, I expect that I would be able to do so.

Can you please edit your original post to make it clear that it is satire? I thought you were serious until I read your other two comments. You don't want to give feedback that is actually the opposite of your real feelings in a game that's still in development.

I genuinely cannot tell if you are kidding.
I actually do think people should be able to choose play style. but that also means challenge should be possible.
My favourite example of this is The Long Dark. You can tailor the funt out of the experience. I usually just go camping, but if I want a nightmare on ice then I have at it.
Thinking about it, I'd rather the devs concentrate on a tough challenge. I need them to craft something hard, but doable. I can make it easier by cheating in stuff if I really want to.

For a big party playing mistlands was a massive pain. We ventured into the mistlands with 6 people and got absolutely crashed by tons of Gjalls before the update, I can see why people want more challenge in solo but multipliers for a group is too harsh...

We had this with fulings while we were hunting for Moder, last night. First time we'd seen so many. It got mental. but it was FUN. F.U.N.

Fulings are easy as at least they are on the ground and you can see them, but when you get 6-10 Gjalls with hp and damage multipliers that you can't see coming onto you cause of mist is just a butt pain =)

They truly become masters at fixing mechanisms that aren't broken. The food system in hearth & home for example. :P

I always said, those who want challenge can go elsewhere. Very happy to witness how Valheim becomes what it was always supposed to be: a family-friendly version of Animal Crossing sprinkled with Nordic aesthetic here and there.

Was fun while it lasted! Was hoping these overreaching nerfs from PTR got balanced instead of full buzz kill. Goodbye Challange, i will miss you.

"Valheim is a brutal exploration and survival game for 1-10 players set in a procedurally-generated world inspired by Norse mythology. Craft powerful weapons, construct longhouses, and slay mighty foes to prove yourself to Odin!"
Guess it as always supposed to be a family-friendly version of Animal Crossing lmfao
