This is correct. Same with fine wood. It would be nice, but generally speaking you need a lot less of it, and also generally speaking the piles aren't a great way to store the stuff anyway. More for aesthetics.

Correct, but if you get a little cleaver with it you can stack 2 or 4 meter corewood beams into a pile.
