He's saying to start over from scratch, but have things be harder for just him. Not sure how they'd accomplish that, though.

Maybe optionally powering down advanced characters to match the server's 'level' as seen in MMOs like CoH & GW2. It could use the same mechanism that currently reduces player effectiveness in large groups.

This could be as simple as a slider asking how many players you want to count as. :D

i don't see what a NG+ would add that you can't already do.
my undersatnding of "new game plus" is, take resident evil 4 for example, you go back to the start of a LINEAR game, but have all your weapons from the end of the first time around.

in valheim, there is no linear progression...
all the bosses can be fought again at any time.
you can take your viking with all their gear into a new world.
those sound near enough to NG+ to me.

what do you mean with NG+ in the context of valheim?

If you're looking to start fresh with players that are newbs, just don't use your high-end gear. Leave all of that stuff in your own world and you will be effectively starting anew except that you will have some skill progression but the bonuses you get from those skills is pretty minimal and they also take awhile to level up so it's not like it will affect the experience all that much.

Not sure I agree 100% but I'm certainly not opposed.

I'm not sure I understand... NG+ is when the game lets you start over but keep all of your progress, which we can do now.

Or do you mean skipping progression entirely, start a game at a higher level with others who are further along? Because it seems we can do that too just by having those others give you food & equipment. (and you could use console to raise skills.)
