i like it much better when they interrupt my tree cutting, ignore them till the tree snaps, then step out of the way and hear them get squished by the tree. Somehow satisfying...

i hate them so much.. Yes they are a nice creature but the problem is there are like 50% to many of them in the game.. I constant run into them and after a while it just get annoying.

Without them we'd have to cancel the Greyling Super Bowl, and nobody wants that!

It's the devs balancing out not being able to use rocks and other items for leveling up.

Plus there's nothing quite like a long distance trajectory of a freakish looking critter bouncing off a tree or boulder. I can see why the op was feeling accomplished. My personal favorite tree+greyling kill was sending several cut tree trunks rolling down an incline onto a couple of greylings.
