Just wanted to say that I really hope the ship building & sailing aspect of the game gets a VIP spot on the dev roadmap. It feels great and is the coolest way to explore the map imo and obviously fits the whole Viking aesthetic.

I was trying to make my way to The Elder just now but the altar is far, far away from my spawn and base. Halfway I had to abort the journey because I was getting swarmed by greydwarves. But I was deep in unknown territory, only knew the location from the Vegvisir.

So I managed to make a raft and made my way back to base. It was pretty tense. Trolls throwing rocks from the shores and those ungodly greythings trying to swim after me. Wind always changing. Storm. Changing winds, reduced sight. During the night you don't notice the rocks in shallower waters. If you've seen Apocalypse Now it felt like that patrol boat scene.

Eventually, the sun rose just as the storm ended and I entered the Meadows. The murky waters of the Black Forest gave way to that shiny Final Fantasy X water. Further still, I could see the palisades and fires of my base. Crashed onto the shore with 1/4 raft health remaining.

One of my favorite gaming moments. So I hope there's more of it !!
