Take 2 iron bars with you when you go exploring mistlands.

That way when you find a tower, dungeon or rampart you can put down a stonecrafting bench and simply dismantle the entire thing getting 500-1000 marble in just a few minutes.

It's the main reason i ignored ribs/skulls as i thought they were only for marble, and spent days hunting dwarves for flesh.

keep trying, and move swift. the entire outside of the map is mistlands. very doubtful youve completed more than 5-10% of it.

It's actually not that much. Far North and Ashlands wrap around the western and eastern edges almost a third of the way up (it might depend on world seed, but i suspect not).

If your playing on a long term world (which solo players usually are) I'd recommend only exploring one side, east or west, incase mistlands gets new content added like the other biomes did.

I've got stacks of the stuff. No idea what it's for, I've found a total of 3 black cores. Started on the ribs of my fourth giant (my experience so far 100% all have heads) because I care more about black marble, keen on getting a new build going.

That doesn't really solve the progression problem though, since you need refined eitr to make it, and if the player is short on refined eitr, they should probably make the feather cape to be better able to find more. But Mistwalker is still on top of the priority list of course.

Just in case someone doesn't know, it's not a consumable resource so the limited availability shouldn't be a huge concern. Most of the new gear is not actually necessary to progress in the biome. Focus on the cape first. :)

Tbh until i got magic i used frostner, even after making most of the weapons. The only one i actually use is Demolisher and thats mostly to kill ticks, although it works good on seekers and gjalls if you land on them.

Yeah, high possibility for that %. Ive been just extremely unlucky with those :D

I have the worst luck. I am averaging 4 ribs per 1 skull.

Roming Dverger also drop them sometimes, as well as Marble. (% drop chance unknown)

The problem with wishbone is that it's an accessory, meaning you'd need to constantly hotswap it and wisplight.

You can also find them from the dvergr, though you may have to fight them for it or find abandoned outposts.
