Mistlands cloak...
...wow, that looks straight Hawai'ian to me, just the wrong color.
I mean feathers? Really?

I was thinking it might make you immune to becoming wet from rain A feather cloak? Very interesting. I imagine it will have some kind of bonus to stamina, instead of armor. I can't see a feather cloak having any kind of armor bonus, but I might be wrong. I just hope the thing doesn't blow away during a storm.

Feather cloaks, in antiquity were primarily in tropical and subtropic regions as far as I know, this seems more like a Game of Thrones kinda thing.
The Vikings used duck feathers for two applications:
1) For pillows
2) For the collar lining of winter cloaks
There's an article from 2018 from the Department of Archaeology and Cultural History at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) University Museum that explains this in pretty good detail.
EDIT: Vikings also used feathers from the Eurasian eagle-owl in pillows and to decorate their swords (as noted from a 1,200 year old Viking grave).
OK, that's lining around the color...
I'm talking about an entire cloak, very very large difference. Some Scottish poets had a mantle of one, but that's shoulders...

I learned Freya & Frigg both had one, never used them though, and they were used for flight and turning into birds.
Who knows what is going to happen. Maybe we will shapeshift and fly now.

Maybe the cloak could reduce fall damage, that would be kinda neat and balanced mechanic for cloak, and we could play as a Batman in Valheim :D

Yes.. unfortunately it lucks imagination, i mean we already have so much raven stuff in the game...
Yeah, well, you know, that might be because the most important Viking deity, basically the boss of all their gods - Odin - was accompanied by two - RAVENS? (Hugin and Munin, to be exact, google it if you wanna know more.)

Thing is many cultures liked using feathers for clothing, I mean theres a few birds out there so feathers, yeah... even europeans though mostly for the shaman class, if you are gonna use feathers in your armour you may as well charge in your birthday suit instead, that blue paint will do the job.
I got a lifetime garentuee on that woad (blue paint), saves your life or your money back :P
I am of course being facticious ... fac...err... sarky af :P
