My workaround was to load in and quit before potential auto save. repeated till I could sleep in bed. Seems to have fixed it. We'll see if it happens again some other time.

Is there anything unusual about your world? If it was crashing on autosave that usually indicates its attempt to save some kind of corruption. (Tons of animals, insanely large, devconsole hacked builds, etc?)

nah, I play without cheats or mods, and only day 81 with a one and two story building. I'm really hoping it's the cloud saving. I have m.2 drive and now I don't even notice it auto saving, unlike before with cloud saves.

My game has been exceptionally choppy today and has crashed a lot also.

Unmodded. Solo. Several crashes now every gaming session - when I had none at all prior to the H&H update. Repeatedly losing so much progress it is hard to play now at all. And I love the game. Even play between crashes is soured due to expecting yet another crash. Game stability please Devs.

did you tried an reinstall and/or checked if you using the latest gpu drivers? friend of mine had the same, he only had to install his updates and verified game data in steam, not a single crash after that.

Was it running fine right before the update, or haven’t played for months that could change whatever software you had on your server.

Have you tried checking for missing or corrupted files on everyone’s copy of the game.

Did any of your friends try running mods before and forgot to remove them?

Unmoded. We're on our latest GPU driver, it's a peer to peer server.

Files are validated too.

What exactly is crashing?
Your game or the server? Both?

Did you ever mod your game?

When you say "new server" did you start a new seed and save?

Do you have any issues while playing solo?

@ FabzN: Had updated my Nvidia drivers only last month - so doubted that would offer a solution to my crashes. Checked though and new drivers had come out on the 20th of Sept. Grabbed those and so far... *touch wood* ... haven't crashed since. So thanks for encouraging me in the right direction :)

@Frostbringer: No server. Like I said in my post I play solo - and my game ran fine before the H&H update. New Nvidia drivers (20th Sept) seem to have fixed the issue. Thanks for responding though.
