The generator seems to work fine, if you follow the various ways to get your seed in it...if you're on a very old build, you need to upload your world instead of merely inputting the seed. I have a world from the very first weeks of EA release and when I followed the steps of having the engine recalculate locations with the latest build by uploading my world, and when I visited an 'unexplored' Mountain biome, I located all 6 spots the map generator produced.


And...the 2 others I visited after a short boat ride to another nearby island.

I believe the trick to the updates is to NOT go out and expose your entire map....I have kept to the few islands I had working and all updates work as expected when I reach an unexplored biome of new content.

I have yet to visit/explore any Ashlands biomes and only a single Mistlands as it's on the way to Moder altar on this particular seed[BGkrTS9Pmg]. Very nice seed indeed, 2 bosses on first island and the rest on a short linear path of islands leading the Far North. Tons of resources on the main island and the Trader and a few Swamp biomes a short boat ride away, the first leg of the quest to Moder.

...oh, and an 'easter egg' of sorts. In a nearby Black Forest biome from SPAWN are 2 copper nodes next to each other, as I uncovered one of them, way under surface level, I uncovered the entrance to a Crypt....once I experienced that with the RNG of this title, I knew I'd be following it along it's dev curve.

I've got a new seed with 14 caves within running distance from spawn. That's the beauty of RNG. Win some, lose some.

this map doesnt work with caves. i serached 8 spots where there should be a mountain cave and not a single one exist.

It was an unexplored mountain before update ? Because if wasnt them will not spawn in old explored mountains
I tried and i got 5 caves as that generator said , but not where said , a little different spot but in the same mountain
