lost character
I had problems updating the steam cloud. my local save file was not updated on cloud.
a few days later I tried to play but then my character had disappeared from the menu in the game.
how can i find my character ??

..have started the game again.
i have downloded the files..but where to put them? ..or should i replace them?(cant find the local files with .old .flv)

Before running the game again, make a backup of your saves (the .old files might still be good) and make a separate download from https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage

I keep getting steam cloud sync errors that tell my my latest saves are from different days in December... 1969 NINTEEN SIXTY NINE.

That sounds very close to some kind of system zero date... Yeah, the usual beginning of time for computers is Jan. 1, 1970.

much of computer time is done as seconds since 1/1/70 and if someone really messed up you could get 1969 out. If its just your save, though, and not happening frequently I would call it data corruption instead.
