Death Marker from previous version disappeared
I died last time I played apparently, and I had all my stuff. I guess I was tilted and got off and planned on getting my stuff back next time I played. But, now my death marker is gone and I have no idea where my stuff was when I died last.

You will sadly have to bite the bullet until you find the stuff again at pure random. I died last time I played apparently, and I had all my stuff. I guess I was tilted and got off and planned on getting my stuff back next time I played. But, now my death marker is gone and I have no idea where my stuff was when I died last.
A new update brings many changes to code and especially with the new cartography table, things might have affected your map too.
Or what it could be is that you were using mods and you still have mods in the game which are affecting your gameplay and even map to a degree.
If the latter is the case, make a note of which mods you used in that world and wait till the mods have updated. That way you are able to try out the world again and maybe even see the marker.
If the latter is not the case, try to do a clean install. As in: Uninstall the game and then remove all files from your steamfolder that relate to Valheim. Then you can uninstall the game again with all files freshly done, no corruptin present.
IF that shouldnt fix your problem, do the same thing as before but now also delete the IronGate/Valheim folder in your Appdata location. (Note that you want to first remove player and world files from that folder in order to not delete them. You can re-add them after you reinstalled the game and started it once to set up all filepaths proper)

Death markers can be deleted now, i'm not sure if the cartography table deletes your markers.
