Cant name or interact with tamed pets
So I'm currently doing a new playthrough and ive tamed some boars. I'm trying to name the first boars so I know which one not to kill, however i cannot interact with them at all, not even the pet option. I have reset the controls to default, removed all my mods (I only had 1 which was mount up), reinstalled the game. Nothing works. I played lots of Valheim back in the day before the naming pets was added and the pet option always worked now neither of them work.
The log gives the following error message:
[Error : Unity Log] MissingMethodException: void Character.AttachStart(UnityEngine.Transform,bool,bool,string,UnityEngine.Vector3)

anyone know a solution to this issue?

r2modman has "Start Modded" and "Start Vanilla" buttons, I've never had mod residue issues when using the latter.

Eh, I really can't see how the world seed would directly affect pigs.

1. If you are using mods, this could easily account for such issues. Remove mods if that's the case. If still corrupt see points below.Before you do #5 you should try a "clean" install.
2. If the seed you're playing on and the tames are from before more recent additions to the game, it could be that this is not possible on that seed and you'd need to make another(you can have same seed more than once in your map choices just give it a different name to be the more current one.
3. If none of that's the case, then try making a new seed(not same seed id) and seeing if the same thing happens, if not it may have been a bad seed.
4. Remote possibility to try but go to valheim in your steam library and click properties then verify local game files to make sure there wasn't a corrupt download causing the conflict.
5. If all fails, then report the bug in the bug subforum area and perhaps consider fully reinstalling the game as a last resort.
Uninstall game
Manually go to folder and delete the whole folder.
Any files not recognized the game as game files will be left behind, any mod or corrupted files will be there and pollute your install again... You MUST MANUALLY delete the whole game folder.
Reinstall game making sure you don't have any mod managers running.
Mod managers have also been reported to re pollute your install just by being there on your computer... if a clean install will not work then do the process again after you uninstall any mod managers.
If after uninstalling any mod managers and doing a clean install it still won't work THEN submit a bug report and state all that you did to try to resolve the issue.
A clean install is important for the bug report as it will assure the devs that it is the game and not some garbage left over.

Does this happen with pigs that spawned after removing the mod? Unity has an unpleasant habit of saving older code into object instances, it might be that Mount Up has permanently modified your pigs.
