Can damaged wood pieces generate flora growth like abandoned houses?

Was wondering if this is possible. Would like to make an effect with the darkwood partitions for a vineyard.

Example of what I mean: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2609935119

they grow on abandoned houses in the Meadows.

Possibly if left long enough the grasses and other small trees grow up from underneath.
It should follow the global action with other materials deteriating over time due to weather. And the wrong timbers exposed.
Any materials that are not weather protected may gradually deteriate.
I get the impression the Darkwood will survive the weather , the few I have used have had no deteriation with wind and rain storms.

Gotcha, will go find a field to place stuff, damage it some and wait. Yeah It did seem like the darkwood beams dont take weathering when I was building yesterday.

considering they are made with Tar, they should be "weather treated" :)

back to your main question, i'm a little confused at the end goal of this (other than the fact its supposed to be a vineyard) ... are you trying to employ existing bushes (such as raspberries) into a build? or are you hoping the grass texture of the terrain returns after being converted to dirt via levelling or digging?

if its the latter you can use the Cultivator tool to "grow" new grass on any terrain.

Since the update, abandoned buildings that spawn naturally (particularly in the meadows) will have a sort of climbing ivy on some of its walls, to indicate its abandoned state. It looks neat, and was wondering if it were possible to integrate that into doing something similar with player built parts.
