Find one of their docks, push them into the water, steal their stuff and gtfo.

You don't need to kill them, although with the current busted seeker AI and the gjall nerfs, they probably won't have as much trouble to deal with those enemies as they used to. They won't actually detect you if you pick up their stuff after the containers have been broken by enemies or if they meet their demise in any other way than by your hand, only if you harm them or their possessions.

However, you should also consider that they are uninvited intruders in a burial/prison world which is under your jurisdiction, and are essentially grave-robbing Valheim.

just find a dvergr place with a fire mage inside. lure an enemy to the location or simply wait inside during the night till something comes around. the mage will level half the tower and most likely the component create aswell. once its broken they dont care if you pick it up and wont become hostile.
i never attacked them so far and this is how i got my first dvergr component by accident when running away from a 1 star soldier into a dvergr tower^^. which you only need 1 off to make the sap collector. multiple dont hurt but sap really isnt hard to come by with even just 1-2 sap collectors as its generated passively even while youre not around.

the bottleneck material early on will be soft tissue. most of this is found inside these giant stone skulls. some are inside dvergr digging sites but these seem rather rare compared to thier towers. but alot of these skulls are also found in the wild unguarded by dvergr. 1 skull is like 60 soft tissue. which is 60 refinded eitr. and you dont much eitr for most of the stuff aside the magic staffs and armor if youre into magic.

I now have 5 or 6 sap collectors, and I only "stole" the first one. The remainder I picked up after a Gjall attack, which happen quite often around their bases.

If you have just arrived, spread puffer fish around the floors of their fortress and get them to step on the fish and eventually the poison will remove them without you getting hit back. When you get refined eitr, spread this around the ward of the fortresses and the eitr will destroy the ward. Then you can place your workbench and claim the fort. Push the dvergrs outside where they provide a set of guards for your new fort.
