1. We don't know yet if there will even be achievements.
2. The game is still in development.
If achievements were to be added, it will usually happen once the game reaches a full release version and leaves EA.

I haven't seen games that add such stuff after EA ;d
Usually they add it during EA, like ARK, The Forest etc

It's up to the devs, some add during EA, some wait til release. But they're very rarely added right after the initial EA release.

So it's a bit early to be asking "why not."

Sorry to ask... but what is this obsession with achievements? does a game get any better with them? you only see them when you are NOT in the game... never understood why people ask if they can be added...

Hades added achivements closer to release.
It makes more sense to wait and add them later when the game is closer to finished instead of doing so now as they will have a better idea of what to even make the achivements.

Too early in life cycle and achievement now could be irrelevant by the time we get to difficulty changes.

Better things to do. Here you can have a gold star as a posting achievement... Kinda feels silly now doesn't it?

Why? So people can use cheats and exploits to get achievements they don't actually deserve? That's exactly why achievements aren't added this early into games.

Electronic Arts/Early Access, both often deliver half finished janky questionable products that you don't ever know will be finished properly or just abandoned as a money grab. So there isn't much of a difference, except Electronic Arts loves its microtransactions and paid DLC a lot more.

Apples with stickers is not a good analogy.
What achievments provide are goals which might extend how much certain people can get out of a game.
Take Kerbal Space Program for example, unfortunately it has no achievments. Some people might try to land their rocket on a certain planet just out of curiosity, some other people won't even try because they feel that with the lack of goals there is no game to begin with (and that's also why so many people struggle finding enjoyment in sandbox games)
So an achievment is a challenge, that extra push some players might use to discover some fun they wouldn't have otherwise found.
Say Kerbal had achievments, I wouldn't have landed my rocket on that planet, but since you challenged me to do it, I'll show I can, and maybe I'll find some fun along the way too.

You can also see them as a "checklist" for people that like to be organized and want a checkmark on every activity to make sure they've experienced all the game had to offer.

Usually professional developers don't add achievements until the game is in early access since achievements will change within each update and can lead to "resets". They probably will be implemented when devs reach 1.0v :goldvein:

Achievements will be likely evaluated by devs when 1.0v arrives.

Talking from my perspective, I like achievements because they add more "sense of purpose" to the game. Same with badges - I like to collect them - but that's another topic.

I didn't see it that way, but yeah, that's another very important - but unnoticed - thing about achievements in games.
