Why I have so much lag as host?
My friend does not have lag in the game, but I do as a host
I thought it was the terrain modification but it is not, then I thought it was an items accumulation lying around (more and more), but I am not sure about that because I pick up the items and the lag continues in coop.
I'm talking about video lag, FPS drop
I'm not talking about latency

maybe need to setup a second machine to be a dedicated server.. sounds like it's choking your PC
I will not buy an extra PC for Valheim...

In theory, a raspberry pi can be made into a server.

More than likely, if you have some ol' tater just sittin' around, it'd do the job better than your current situation...

It would have to be your machine, I would think.
Defragging your hard drives has helped me in the past so maybe help you also.
Is your c drive nearly full?
my drives or at least the c, the gaming one and the paging virtual storage drives are ssd's now and wow what a difference.
But these cost lots of money and not all of us have any spare so ??

Is Valheim installed on a nvme m.2 SSD? How many RAM do you have?
