well antlers were used by stone agers to get flint and make primitive tools but against actual rocks? doubt it

that boss was a total ♥♥♥♥♥ but cool as ♥♥♥♥ i think i took like 9 dmg from it once. also yes ive done it now and gotten bronze axe and just devouring dark forrest between the constant 5 grey dwarf spawn and the sudden troll

Next step is exploring swamp areas. Make and bring poison resist potions unless you enjoy dying. Bronze pickax for mining iron. In the swamps there are crypts, in these crypts there is iron to be found.

You have to beat the first boss (Eikthyr) to get antlers, to make the antler pickaxe which you'll using to mine copper/tin/iron/stone

Within the black forest are copper nodes. Around the edges of the forest are small tin nodes. 2 coppers = 1 tin. Reason i mention 2 antlers is because the antler pickax is very rittle.

The flow of the game goes from biome to biome. Each time you enter a new one, you take/process whatever resources it just unlocked for you to upgrade your weapons/armor/structures, then you beat the boss to move onto the next one (the bosses usually drop an item that you'll need to progress). For the black forest, you need to mine copper and tin to create bronze which is needed to upgrade your weapons. You'll also gain access to fine wood when you make the bronze axe, which is needed to create some weapons and pretty much all of the furniture pieces. You can of course enter any of the biomes in any order you want but if you get too far ahead without upgrading armor and weapons, you'll die easily.

No you have to kill boss 1-4 if you want to have everything the game currently provides. Boss 5 is the current end with nothing after it to progress.

Use the antler pickax to get tin and copper. They make bronze

Find and beat the first boss. Explore more. Find and beat the second boss. Explore some more. If you get stuck, read some guides or watch some tube... but that spoils the fun for some.

Just a little tip. The bosses in Valheim drop something you need to advance.
But once you beat the first boss, things will happen. The second, third, fourth, fifth... these things just get worse. So always prepare well. Or defeat the bosses on another world and return to the world you are building on.

The game is revealed by picking up new things. They tell you what you can do with it when you have it in inventory.
