Does anyone else have a similar time playing valheim?

Log in after not playing for a week because you ragequit after getting killed by a wolf
Carefully plan a recovery mission and finally recover items
maybe I should go back to the swamp until Im a bit stronger
Teleport to swamp, ok lets to a little exploring
Try to explore a new ruin but get reckt by a 2 star draugher
Two deaths later finally kill the drauger and yet again recover your items.
Finally get to explore the ruins, zero treasure but it could be a swamp base
Start building your base
Three draugher sneak up and kill you
You ragequit and decide you will try again next week.

ah --- said in a friendly manner, i understand your frustration and thanks for airing it. sharing a grief halves it. rage quit??? been close but you cannot jump ahead and i am certain you know that. unless you are excellent meli fighting.
you are just sharing a frustration with your friendly forum folk. we hear you.
I have found I have to get fully armoured up to the max before going into a new biome and make sure I have a close safe bed handy should you get murdered as you have, cant go and face a new boss unless maxed out with all current biome. I am going through a second time.
jump on the net and watch some of eso's videos this may help. he has a magic house on top of the tall rocks you find in the plains area which i built so there are lots left to enjoy.
yep just take a break then get back for more punishment. you better take some valiem ha ha when you get to the death mozzies. ha ha. if you dont have a good shield and sword and also the best armour you die with one hit from the mozzies. but they are easy when you know how by shooting them with your bow and arrows to clear them out before they come to get you.

XD learn the Fighting mechanics, get better gear and food, also remember that it's not always a good idea to charge in like a brainless russian in a dota/csgo game. Sorry ruskies, i still love you. Yes this game makes me mad like no other game I'm a bit worried that it might be too much for me to handle.
Combat felt hard and the swamp felt hard right up until i learned to block properly. Then bam could block and kill everything in the swamp easily, even the 2 and 3 stars. Just dont make a mistake, also be buffed from food. If you are not using your food buffs (and decent ones) things can one shot you if you are not paying attention and dont manage a block or dodge.

I've gotten pissed at myself for being stupid and un-prepared for any long distance travels. Rage quit? Never. Not sure why you'd rage quit for not properly being prepared...Thats on you.

This. I may step away from the game for a little bit to calm down and focus on what needs to be done but I usually get back on pretty quick to fix the situation.

Always have a nearby shelter where to hide and full hp. That's the secret to succeed in every biome.

I don't really get what you guys are pointing at.

If OP runs into a couple of very annoying situations I think it's quite reasonable to take a deep breath and return another day. If you're down to play that might be tomorrow, if not so much then next week or in a couple months. Some games I have finished years after running into a dead-end.
When someone tackles a difficult riddle it can help to get some distance and bring fresh ideas. I think that's much better than trying to solve it non-stop, getting greasy over it.

"That's on you" makes it sound like a problem of anger management.
"You ragequit and decide you will try again next week." doesn't sound particularly alarming to me.

The OP original statement shows the term Rage Quit, am I correct? Kudos for him/her stepping aside and regrouping for a period of time. In this case it was my intention to point out that being prepared for anything was a better option than getting to the boiling point of Rage Quitting. My statement of "Thats on You" is exactly that. You as a gamer have decided to become out of control and quit due too a lack of being well prepared for whats coming. There is a reason for not wandering to far into dangerous territories and not being prepared for it. From what i'm seeing from your statement is you are getting upset from someone elses opinion. You've read into something entirely not there.

It's a rough road to be honest. Patience and hard work will make you a better warrior and viking. Don't get discouraged by getting wiped on the floor by enemies. 300+ hours in and i've had times where fulings have whupped my arse constantly. You aren't alone with this. And i completely believe you have what it takes too succeed in time. Keep it up! And if my original comment stirred the sh#t pot somehow i do apologize.

The game requires caution and preparation. If these things are not qualities you can bring to/enjoy in, a game, its going to be a bad experience for you.
