shouldnt have made this thread. odin demanded my life just now. 3 skills dropped from 100 to 95. run and jump at 100 is not that bad to recover from. but boy. sword from 70 to 67 and bow from 65 to 62 is painful loss. and pickaxe back to 95 XD
but that death was the first time i said ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at a death. it was a spawn immunity death by a 2 star tick that the game spawn correct as it was above the roof of an invested mine. i heard it constantly was standing around looking for it. then it spawned RIGHT ON TOP of me grabbing me out of the blue (no it didnt drop down there was no level above this room). and these things hurt with 2 stars. but that wasnt the issue. i used what i always do when ticks latch into me : useing spin to win with the afl polearm. it kills all ticks includeing 2 star ones instantly. did that before with multiple 2 star ones.
except this time.... it didnt affect the damn tick. i used it 3 times. no dmg taken at all. then i died to it. respawned. was like. WTF GAME. grabbed the reserve weapons since i had a portal right outside the mine entrance due to grabbed all the marble on the entrance before.
i was like ok no skill drain. lets do this ♥♥♥♥. ate food at the kitchen and went trough the portal.
ran it. tick was waiting for me right at the top of the staircase this time. it jumped onto me again. used spin to win again. it died in 1 hit. i was standing there and was like. WTF HAPPENED BEFORE. my only explanation is the game spawn corrected the tick to be not above the place and it had spawn dmg immunity due to the game doing this. had the same happen before but it was just a seeker brood the last time. this thing was more dangerous compared. this death felt wrong in every way. no other death was like this.
oh well. death day 794. 2nd mistlands death and first death inside a infested mine. and first death since day 389. gotta live with it i guess.
i wish they would cap the skill loss to 3 levels max and limit the penalty to your 3 highest skills (if more than 3 are the same choose at random) instead of flat out lowering ALL the skills.
how the ♥♥♥♥ did you max out wood cutting before pickaxes? and HOW in the world did you get BOW of all weaponskills to 100 so fast? bow the slowest weapon skill i know level wise from the weaponskills. mine was at 65 and it took forever to get it there and i use this thing ALOT.
like getting any melee skill to 50 is rather quick with a draugr spawner you can farm your ass off. but after 50 it really slows down greatly.

Depends on how often you use/train the skill. On day 500 my run skill was already long time at 100, as i ran a lot.
*also depends on how often you die, due to 5% skill penalty on death

Good question. I can't speak to using a pick but blood magic requires 27698 hits from the two skeletons that can be summoned to reach level 100 - unrested. If we went with 10 shots per minute (mileage may vary) per archer then a constant fire rate from two archers would get level 100 in 24 hours. But again, that is a very back-of-envelope guestimate.
