Lazy ass way out.
Right, so, rather than refining the contest, tailoring it do difficulty, instead you have taken the lazy ass way out. Put in a zone killer, make it the most painful possible to progress, and call that an update. Nice work. How in the future will you demotivate your base?

I just don't see how it took 2 years. Did base valheim take 10 years? Do they have 2 hours work weeks? Did they make 150 million and then realize they would rather go on vacation?

Idk how long would it take you to build a game a life time because you are not a code writer I just don't see how it took 2 years. Did base valheim take 10 years? Do they have 2 hours work weeks? Did they make 150 million and then realize they would rather go on vacation?

For sure. I mean serously, stuff like the Ballistas shooting at teh player was something that should have been caught and fixed before it even got to the beta channel.
After reading posts here, it made me think it actively aims and shoots at player and that's not something I remember seeing before in any other game or maybe I've managed to forget.
Unless we're talking about having turret connected to tripwire/pressure plates or just friendly fire accident, but that doesn't sound like the case here.

I think it was more the devs didn't want to deal with the PR crapstorm that would have happened if they didn't release the Mistlands update in 2022.
I knew they were going to do this. Instead of taking the extra time they really needed to test and balence everything in the new biom they pushed out a mostly working update so they could point at it and say "see?! we kept our word and released Mistlands content in 2022!"
Now its going to be months of micro patches while the devs do all the fine tuning they should have done in the first place. Same as happened with the H&H update.
Sinec I'm not really that good at the game as it is I'm not even going to bother trying out the new content for another few months. I've read too many commnets in these forumns about how there needs to be some serious adjustments various elements of the game. You talk as if this game is in final release and this is extra content.
Meanwhile in reality, this is early access in beta. PR crapstorm? please.
They released something they thought was good, turns out it was a bit over-tuned and they quickly made changes as necessary (now it's perfect imo). And these changes may not be final either because the game isn't final.

yet that's how IG treats this game. focusing more or decorations and food as if the core gameplay were completed.I think it was more the devs didn't want to deal with the PR crapstorm that would have happened if they didn't release the Mistlands update in 2022.

I admit it... this is exactly how I feel too. The new biome seems like a painful chore.

Idk, my base is always motivated. The bees are happy, and the Hen loves me.
