If you tow a Gjall after you to one of their towers, and let the dwarves 'help' you with the Gjall, you should be able to get the one thing you need from a component crate.

The Soft Tissue you're able to get with other means than from killing dwarves.

I have just started my forays into the Mistlands and been scared witless due to the videos about Seeker Soldiers. Just found out they go down faster than a fat kid on cake when using a Frostner upgraded to level 4.

I dunno about that.... I use a bow on them and aim for their buttholes. Yellow damage that way.

You can try to do a grab an run, but you have to take out the ward first, and they start to get very upset when you do that.

I find that just visiting them is usually enough to wipe them out. It's pretty inevitable that eventually a Gjall or soldier is going to come by and devastate the place, so I don't feel too bad if I influence that a bit on the first one.

There is a way but I would just kill them if there small enough of a group, take the mage first and then rogues damage is tankable and easy to dodge.

Use your cart physics to break their ward or let a gjall blast the place if you don't want to anger them I spose, but imo your still damaging their stuff and hurting them so the "pacifist" way of getting their stuff is just a technicality that lets you sleep at night lol

The frostner does work pretty well on a soldier. My problem is when I get too many seekers on me. You can sometimes get jumped by 3-4 of them, and then I find that I just can't keep up. That's when the demolisher comes out!

Funny story... I was just walking around my half plains, half mistlands base when a seeker event hit. Of course, I was wandering around with 25HP after just completing a project. It's a fully enclose stone box structure, so perfectly safe, at least long enough to get some food and "put my pants on"... Except for that one little hole in the wall along the stairs that I keep forgetting to plug.

I'm going to have to fix that... as soon as I get the stone out of the gravestone sitting on the stairs.

Aaaaaand this is why I have one base and one base only, and it's in a meadow. I'll port metals back and forth using a 2nd world I call 'Haven' (for good reason). For the Mistlands I build a portal in the nearby biome (Black Forest) and hike in.

A seeker event...... sounds like awesome fun. I didn't know there was such a thing.

FWIW my only problem with multiple seekers is blowing my stamina wasting blows on uneven terrain. With everything else being equal, a black metal tower shield makes me take very little damage and with Frostyboy I can whittle them down if I'm patient. Not sure why it works so well as compared to say my black metal sword, but it does.

Seekers and soldiers are resistant to all normal damage, but not the frost damage in the frostner. Most weapons in that you can (will soon be able to make) in mistland also do elemental damage, so they do much better than black metal.

BTW, there's something else that you will soon be able to make that will make mistlands even more fun. It's a complete game change IMO, and I recommend making it ASAP.
