Fenris armor

Does the movement bonus of the Fenris hair coat and pants stack?
Would it be useful as the successor to troll leather in similar applications?

My reasoning behind wearing the Fenris Hood, is a helm has the lowest armour value of all 3 armour pieces. That way one is sacrificing an armour piece with the lowest armour defence while still getting the full bonus value of a Fenris set-piece.

I was extremely fortunate in that I got 2 Cultist Trophies after my first 3 Frost Cave run-throughs. This allowed me to make Fenris Hoods for both my son and I. He just returned to the game after a long hiatus and really loves the speed boost from wearing 2 Fenris armour pieces. He also prefers the armour reduction one gets from wearing 2 Fenris pieces combined with a Padded Armour piece, as opposed to the invincibility factor full padded armour gives, and he thoroughly enjoys the new Flesh Rippers.

It adds up to +9%, but remember that the equivalent Mountain armor adds up to -10%. So functionally when choosing between Silver or Fenris youre trading about 30 total armor for moving about 20% faster.

In my eyes its a very good set but I can understand why someone would prefer having the extra armor silver offers.

Can you rely on parry with the claws to stay out of trouble?

I use full Fenris on latest run, with the claws. With good timing, and prior thought you can overcome most enemies. Stone golems and lox though are just a total pita, but your extra speed means stamina recovers just fine for archery.

It's also an absolutely classic edgelord rogue look when complete, plus black linen cape. If we ever get higher tier bucklers then this and a good knife has me set for life.

I wear the Fenris Hood and Leggings, with either the Wolf Armour Chest or Padded Chest piece. More than enough armour against any enemies, even waves during invasions, and can easily run down deer with Silver Knife in hand.

Armor is sh.itty in this thing, it is actually the perfect rogue armor if you don't miss the +15 sneak of the Troll set.

Run in, hit hard, run out. ;)

Yes. I just got the full set today. I like it. I actually outran boar agro. It does not have the best AC, so parry will be more important if tanking mobs.

yes. Goes to 9% movespeed. Bout on par with Troll and Bronze as far as defense stats.
