Yes. Boar with Blueberries, Duck with Blueberries. Rabbit with Blueberries. Where I live wild game meat is popular in stews especially with the local First Nations. The 5-Meat Stew is very popular. Blueberries are pretty mild and go great with game meat. But you can't beat Ice Cream with Blueberries.

That's fascinating. I live in NA and ever is fruit introduced with stew. I wouldn't mind trying it out.

You can put fruits in your soups and stews yes, though I have never tried with blueberries in particular
Duck meat with blueberries browned in a frying pan is delicious however. That's what we often eat for christmas

Game meat is pretty strong in flavour so Blueberries can be very mild tasting in comparision, almost disappearing. I have not tried Blueberries with Farmed meat though. Only Pork with Pineapple, and in that the Pineapple comes through strongly. Farmed meat is very tasteless. The Inuit comment alot on southern meats being tasteless and odorless and when you try raw game meat (including organs) straight from the kill from "north-of-40" you understand why. Game meat is just SO strong in flavour. After cooking you can smell it a mile away :)

No. Absolutely not! Blueberries and Venison!?! Vomit! I eat Venison weekly, and have my whole life. You can do anything with it from ground into meatloaf pasta sauce burgers, stewed, cubed with gravy and rice, but blueberries and venison is a no no. Yes you can use it with fowl, but no one does that either. Rabbit doubtful, fried, gumbo you name it, but not blueberries. I see they are they are trying to make a "black forest recipe" for it, so do a stew with carrots and mushrooms in your crokpot cauldron. but blueberries and carrots and vension is ridiculous. Once a very immersive and intuitive game, now ridiculous recipes, and 5 blinking timers flashing at me. Nothing good ever lasts. Its a shame,

Depends. I serve burgers, meatloaf, tacos and pasta ALL the time to guests, literally all the time, and they can never even tell. Field dressing game immediately is most impotant, the cooler the weather the less critical. then throw it in a cooler for a week and let it tenderize, and process yourself. The major difference with deer is the total lack of fat, you have to change your cooking style, like keep your bacon grease, youre gonna need it. If its gamey, means they let a big buck sit in the back of thier truck and drove it around town to show thier friends before taking to a processor

I mean some people already complain about Valheim being a sailing simulator, imagine if we had immersive cooking in survival games...
Anyways. Venison being one of the most common meat in rural areas, you'd be surprised how many different (granted, sometimes surprising) recipes there are around the world. And fruits definitly are a good way to sweeten strong meats

Keep in mind the geographic region we are talking about. I live in the same latitude and the game animals eat alot of Blueberries and such (and other game that have already eaten Blueberries and are in the gut when eaten whole by the predator) during the winter (frozen under the snow) so in the spring hunts you get game meat that already has flavour "taint" with Blueberries so they go quite well with cooking with them.

In the Fall if you hunt the same game animal the flavour will be different since they have been eating differently all spring and summer. Recipes may have to be adjusted. Remember the weather at these latitudes change wildly and are harsh necessitating a varied seasonal diet (don't forget changing seasonal predator activity) which changes the game animal (fat, blood, hormones, endorphins/cortisol content levels etc) and then its flavour.

In world regions where seasons are stable, or not as harsh, allowing the game animals to eat a consistent diet year round (and sometimes close to a human diet), Blueberries may not work in cooking, as the game meat flavour has other "taints" that can clash with such things as Blueberries. Predator activity (limited or numerous), and whether it has seasonal changes, can change the flavour too. Also national hunting regulations may only allow certain hunting times (especially if no First Nations exemptions, or similar) which can give a regular flavour to meat that people think is normal and make for consistent recipes year-round making things like Blueberries a real obstacle.

Then Migratory game and Farmed game animals (not cows, chickens etc, but domesticated wild game) is a whole other recipe dilemma ... lol. And lets not get started about Fish and so-called "wild" Fish in grocery stores that are actually river-farmed.

Wow, look at me ramble ... I must be bored, time to play.
