What we all should expect from developers and why.
whelp about a month ago before the devs announced they were gonna cut the road map in half if not by 75% I made a prediction that they were gonna take the money and run. And sadly I was right I unlike a lot of other people on here praising the devs have seen this happen too many times and could see all the signs. Lets be honest here they sold millions of copies made hundreds of millions of dollars and have yet to even secure a new office after months of looking for one. Nor have they stepped up development by "investing" that money back into the game. When you make hundreds of millions of dollars over night and months later haven't invested any of that money back into the game "were" all supporting its a slap in the face. A year after covid began and they are still using the covid excuse even though the rest of the world has long gone back to work. I don't expect miracles but I do expect something other than hey were working from home and blah blah blah covid...."we" supported you buy buying millions of copies and "you" have given us almost nothing in return other than thanks for all this money and were gonna slowly drag out this development for a very very long time and you might get some content at some point........ What I expect from a overwhelming successful early access that makes millions of dollars over night is a foot on the gas pedal and reinvestment back into the game, and that is not what is happening. And the same old "we wanna focus on releasing a perfect best case scenario release is a load of bull. Every developer ever who took the money and drug out the game instead of reinvesting has said that. Lets be honest the game is amazing but with that said were talking very low grade visual graphics here folks. Like mine-craft on steroids type graphics. The amount of money made would easily allow the developer to actually give more than was promised in the road map had they planned on reinvesting some of that money, but what should be and what is are two different things. And honestly more work for creating content has been done buy the community modders then the developers and that's a very telling sign were all being screwed. I truly love this game but I've been supporting new developers for along time and have been playing pc games since the very beginning of it all...yes I'm old AF but with that comes experience and the mistakes being made here are what make games fail 99% of the time. So I encourage the community to demand more from all developers not of just this game but any game you choose to support with your money. Without pressuring these developers to do better and evolve you are enabling them to fail. I get it ALOT of people support this game and devs but time for some tough love time to say get your a**** to work hire more help and start giving us more NOT less when is there ever gonna be a developer that actually goes above and beyond to deliver especially when they have more than enough support and a retarded amount of money to do so.....I'm sure i'll get some hate from this and maybe the devs will read this at some point, my hopes are one day one developer is going to deliver more then promised and not LESS....no excuses no covid blah blah just actual effort and results. Prove me wrong enjoy the money later so we can enjoy the game now....I cant build another base I've built newyork city at this point I'm bored and I cant be the only one getting bored give us some content please.

TLDR.
You've had 242 hours of playtime on a game you paid $20 for and you are crying about it.
That's $0.08 per hour of entertainment.
This is an Early Access $20 game, not a $60 AAA +paid subscription +microtransaction game.
Are you confused to the difference or just have unreal entitlement issues?
So no, to your blah blah "DeAd GaMe" nonsense.

So paying $20 for a pre-release means that no one can complain about the lack of a finished product regardless of how much time has passed? In that case they can just call it done and not 'early-access'.
I won't agree with the 'whitelivesmatter' racist, but I will say its been plenty long for them to either hire more dev's or pay their dev's to do the jobs they were hired to do instead of buying a horse. How many devs do they have? What are they working on day-to-day? No one knows.
If they release the update by this fall and it literally doubles or triples the content in the game, then great, its worth waiting for, but I'm willing to bet that there won't be that much new content (if any) and the dev's are just pocketing the money and laughing their way to the bank; in that case you can talk all the trash you want because its justified. Otherwise lets get an ETA please. They could have added construction options, enemies, gear, that wouldn't take a dozen people more than a month or two to make. This game can only fail if the dev's continue as they have by doing practically nothing.
On a side note / caution: This may be a clear example of false advertisement with the makers selling a pre-release game that's 90% done, and saying they intend to complete it, only to leave everyone hanging while they run with the cash with no intention of finishing the game. There should be consequences for any company claiming an 'early access' game will be completed when they have no intention of doing so.

That's okay, I'm sure you've already been reported. Needless to say, its called "freedom of speech". You can name yourself whatever you want, and I can voice the logical obvious meaning behind your name and neither of us can be curtailed as long as we do not swear or slur. The point is, I agreed with your principal complaint, but you focused on the fact that I'm not a racist. And then 'reported' me for it? lol indeed :)

Outside of maybe 1% of the EA games they always take the money and run. Limited updates, no communication. This company is giving frequent updates to keep our hype in check. From the start they said it was a 2 year roadmap. 2 years...
We're 20 months from that timeline. So yeah I think people are out of line to complain at this point. Now if Hearth and Home comes out and it's 3 new meals, 4 new roofs and a couple of hats then well, we still don't have a huge right to complain. But we should be disappointed that it's going the way of most survival games.
That said, this game has more content than any survival game I've played to date outside of Conan. And that's a buggy mess using the Unreal engine. :(

Everyone wants to rationalize hypocrisy sometimes, but you still shouldn't do it.

Please BLM is just as racist. It's just the other end of the spectrum. Most of us are in the middle where all lives matter. But the media wants you to believe there's this grand problem. Hook, line and sinker.

The problem with today's society is that it is intellectually lazy.
That "master race" nonsense had a name: eugenics.
Eugenics was a policy pushed by Progressives from 1900 to the end of WWII when "Progressive" became a dirty word due to Hitler taking eugenics to the Nth degree. They also were able to get forced sterilization laws passed through the Supreme Court, which Hitler copied nearly word-for-word from the American Eugenics Society.
Progressives aren't just Communists; they're collectivists, meaning they also advocated fascism. "Progressives must become liberal fascists and enlightened Nazis." - H.G. Wells, Oxford, 1932. Fascism was very much based on Progressive principles.
If you watch Wells' 1936 adaption "Things to Come" you'll not only find some choice racial statements, but also that the only thing that changed in Progressive policy is what color skin to blame the woes of the world on.
But, should you happen to be a regular on pol, I suggest you find a new hobby. You're nothing more than a right-wing Progressive.

Guess all the mods are sleeping. This one is ripe for the picking. I'm not going to dive into the political arguments here, or the wholesale negligence of any form of humanity. But my soul does weep.
