Fast and balanced, high damage weapon like black metal axe (upgraded maybe, don't remember) will one-shot each one. The event can only occur in Plains and Mountains.

The only problem i have with this event is that my chest for wolf pelts is nearly full.

You could use a hoe to quickly build a pillar of stone to stand on and shoot down on them with a bow. Safe and easy wolf pelts for all!

If you engage them in melee, don't forget that you should have the Bonemass power by now. That should greatly improve your survivability.

I used the bonemass ability but still had no chance... And: I didn't even know that this stupid event exists, so why should I bring a hoe to the mountains? I went out for silver and obsidian, so I needed all the inventory space. ;)

Bonemass power makes a huge difference. You can also log off as soon as it starts and log in with a different character. After 3 game days the event will despawn on its own and while that's happening no other raids can spawn. Makes it very safe for a low level character to adventure in a map that has high level raids spawning.

If you've tamed a Lox and have a saddle you can ride.

Well, I mean now that you know your body is being camped, you can bring a hoe and try that plan out. I'm not sure what the conditions are, but I'm pretty sure that event can now happen anywhere since you're far enough in the game.

And just in general, it pays to have a "corpse run box". Something filled with a set of armor, weapons, and food so you can quickly gear up and make a decent attempt at recovering your stuff.

It's a survival game. Challenges will be thrown your way, and meeting them and beating them is what the game is all about. You've got this.

Dig a pit quickly with your pick, drop a work bench, and put a core wood beam across the top of the pit. Stand on the middle of the beam and plink away with your bow.

It`s easy, just kill them, no need to balance anything.
