There's gotta be a better way...
It feels like tossing some chow into the pen where you're trying to tame a boar is an unintended minigame. Is there a way to get my viking dude to actually DROP something, instead of throwing it with viking manliness? Someone, please enlighten me.
Either that, or a crafted trough to put the food in would be great.

A suspended wall over the intended clear spot will act as a stopper and items fall.
Consider building a basketball hoop to impress it with next level yeet game.

Yeah, no. It's yeet or nothing. The throw will be in the direction your character is physically facing at the time, camera facing has no effect.

I need to test cultivating carrots or turnips in a boar pen to see if they automatically eat them. But seems that wouldn't work most people are saying the same, gotta throw berries and stuff at them. Total boardom

I have a pen(wood fencing) and a single piggie in it. I threw some shrooms in it and left the area. There is no fire, i moved my kiln and smelter, yet this stupid piggie is still aggressive. I've only ever domesticated boar one other time.
