wait, is higher raids activated by mounting trophies on world or by actualy defeating bosses on world?,
cause i have not defeated any boss on my current world (ironisle) but have mounted tropies both in base and center stones there - only getting *** ralies creatures
defeated lightning stag multiple times on my first world (sovengarde) - getting forest moves
and defeated first two boses (stag and elder) multiple times on (test1) - not yet got invasion, due to not staying at base

I look forward to trolls raiding my bases. They get stuck in the moat and I can take them down with wood arrows, nerfing my shots to skill-up. The foul smell from the swamp is a source of Draugr guts and bones. I wish Abominations would join the fun.

So many posts here about how to stop raids. Why?

Just dig a trench all the way round your base and everything just stands there doing nothing. You'll get archers but they do minimal damage to walls. You're pretty safe until mountains when you start getting drakes attacking, but by that stage they are easy to take down anyway.

would boss powers be active across worlds?

Powers stay with your character, raids are per world and activated by mounting trophies at the original spawn hub. You can progress on one save and use a different one for building, use the dev command resetkeys to remove all raids above the negligible boars and necks, build on an island to cover all possible spawn points, modify the settings with the Custom Raids mod https://www.nexusmods.com/valheim/mods/278 or live in a forest and fill it with tamed wolves which will hunt for food and maintain their own population.

Then put up walls and dig a trench around your base. I get attacked all the time with little to no damage. Heck, sometimes I just ignore them.

Broadly similar to the horde, yeah. The assaults become more dangerous as you progress through the forsaken bosses. They mostly only happen when you're present in a building the game recognises as 'a base'. https://valheim.fandom.com/wiki/Events
