CANT swim under water really ?

basic things like grabing an item in 6 feet of water become a chore were in 2021 and games still be missing basic game mechanics i love this game but with all the bugs and basic mechanics just not being there i think ill just wait on this one and put it in my back end and come back when i can swim under water in a 2021 game

I mean... do you really expect to be able to swim easily in a set of bronze armor or fur and not drown? I could see where if you're naked you could dive. But water is notoriously COLD af in Norway so I don't see it as really a bad thing.

The gorgeous environment would look even better if we could walk a few moment on the sea floor. And/or the possibility of surviving a tragic sea ordeal. It looks amazing down here!

There are mods available to extend pickup range, which might help? It is annoying, I agree.

So with this hypocritical logic why add swim mechanic either? He's wearing a metal armour might as well just remove it and try to travel from boat for realistic survival genre's sake :D

If this game had the water from Sea of thieves, then it would be the most beautiful survival game. Sea of Thieves has perhaps the most beautiful water physics ever. The color. The choppy water. Like my god. I couldn't take my eyes off the water when I first tried that game.

I bet they had this a idea but the game being strikingly similar in visual to Skyrim they might alter some names or mechanics of the thing that you are suggesting, IF they decided to add such thing into the game that is.

Actually water physics in this game are great to but since it's more focused on survival maybe devs left some of the game aspects out or just forgotten about it or they are planning for it because > early access. Can't do anything but wait.

In storms is where it really shines along with rough waters. You get that nice translucent green at the top of the water and when the sun hits it just right. MMhh! But if they could push the water visuals just a tad bit more. Ohh yeah. Its all coming together now.

Remember you bought an unfinished game. The devs will be fixing bugs, changing mechanics, adding content etc for the next 1-5 years.

People should avoid early access games unless they're willing to deal with bugs, crashes, missing content, broken systems etc.

Honestly. Haven't had a single bug or crash. Like this game runs solid for me. No high temps or nothing. If anything. Disconnects due to server lag. But thats about it. I suspect has more to do with P2P connections if anything. Imagine dedicated servers where anyone can join and its just a sandbox for everyone.

Same here. No bugs and no crashes, which is a first. My PC howls a bit if I have played for a long time, but it's ancient by today's standards. (I have the money for a new one but of course all the "non-essential" shops are closed and I like to see what I'm buying when I get a new PC or buy components to build one.)

PC parts picker is honestly a tease to me sometimes. making a "one day build" sometimes tides me over.
Like just a fictional build that doesn't exist yet is just so satisfying in itself.
