All story based events should be enabled after defeating Yagluth
Kind of sucks you are locked out of half the base attack events after beating the game...

Yikes, you're gonna get some friction on this.
Well first of all Yagluth isn't the end of progression, there will be more after him. Presumably after defeating Yagluth, in future versions, we will get Mistlands events.
But allowing all events after the final boss (whatever/wherever that ends up being) seems rough if there's no player consent. What I would suggest is each tier of material being used to build a sort of beacon that allows the event from the previous biome. For example silver can create a beacon that will allow the swamp event to hit after you've killed Bonemass.

Agreed. A way to prevent them for whoever wants that would also be nice I imagine, something like fixing up the bosses head inside the base, but yeah, I don't being locked out of some content and variety either. I mean you are always going to get events no matter what...just adds some much needed content to double the size of the event pool with stuff that already exists in the game. I mean, its probably going to be years before the game is "done".

I think most people will probably start to agree when they get to the point where the last 15 base attacks they have experienced are Surtlings with a couple skeleton surprises sprinkled in.

So maybe I'm misunderstanding. I mean you are always going to get events no matter what...just adds some much needed content to double the size of the event pool with stuff that already exists in the game. I mean, its probably going to be years before the game is "done".
What events are locked out after you beat boss 5?

We're there after boss 4. Almost always surtlings, have had a ground shaking and one skellie surprise recently. I think most people will probably start to agree when they get to the point where the last 15 base attacks they have experienced are Surtlings with a couple skeleton surprises sprinkled in.
Are you saying you want all the previous ones to keep happening as you progress farther into the game?
Oh.. Why? Why would you want some greylings and deer attacking your plains base?

Eikthyr event - Boars and Necks attack - Locked out after killing Eikthyr
Elder event - Greydwarfs/Brutes/Shamans attack - Unlocked after killing Eikthyr Locked out after killing The Elder
Bonemass event - Draugars and Skeletons attack - Unlocked after killing the Elder Locked out after killing Bonemass
Moder event - Drakes attack - Unlocked after killing Bonemass Locked out after killing Moder
Yagluth event - goblins attack - Unlocked after killing Moder Locked out after killing Yagulth (unfortunately this one never triggered for us before beating Yagluth)
Variety is nice, and the other events also provide other desired materials. Resin is always welcome, meat, intestines, freezing glands.

Yeah I'd say limit it to Bonemass-and-up events - Draugur attacks are some of the most terrifying in the dead of night. Why would you want some greylings and deer attacking your plains base?
My first time seeing those shambling, groaning, hissing things coming out of the woods toward my base made me pee a little.

Doesn't really mean all raids need to come up at the same time or anything. They can still occur with the same interval, just a different type of raid.
How about having raids from a specific boss return after 50 or 100 days or whatever?
And you can stop them for a while again by giving the boss another rematch.

My progression got all messed up. I soloed the first two, then did Bonemass with my guildmates on our guild server, then soloed Moder on my solo seed again. I get "foul smell from the swamps" a lot. Never got the Moder event. Unrelated but related - I get the ground shaking, but never Seklly surprise (though we get that on the guild server all the time).

How about an endgame event that has all of them come together at the same time?
It would be insanely fun to see an army of useless woodland creatures, dwarves, undead and other creatures attack a base at the same time, possibly attacking each other. Sounds like a super messy battle./s
The way it is handled right now is logical by design because its bound to your progression.
Earlier raid events are pointless to the player due to the progression. Having Silver and Blackmetal gear doesnt have me getting thrilled when some Boars and whatnot decide to attack me.
Uhhhh, what they gona do?
Boar me to death?
When you defeated a boss, that boss creatures are no threat to you anymore.
Dude, i have killed the bosses already easily, their mobs are trash, why would i bother?
When for examplei defeated Bonesmass, the only threat to me or my base comes from Lox and Fulin Berserks.
Thus i dont need earlier raids at all.
Your proposal isnt thought through.
They designed it correctly at this point and theres no reason to change it, because doing so would contradict the design.
Gamedesign works for a reason and you have to think about a lot of stuff when it comes to it, as all things are logically connected or some solutions are there because it would otherwise not work well.
Yes, Valheim has some areas it needs work to be done, like combat being god awful.
But the general design is rock solid and doesnt need changes from some amateurs on the forums.
No insult intended, but the general majority of the players have 0 idea about gamedesign and as we say in German "Schuster bleib bei deinen Leisten".
Which means in some way, talk about something you know something about.
The only solution to your proposal would be, if all enemies scaled with your progression so that the raiding Greylings or Boars are much much stronger than the regular counter parts.
Which doesnt work for several reasons. As said, gamedesign means stuff is connected. You cant just change X to achieve Y.
