Did re-installing fix the issue? If so I can try that fix, Also to anyone else reading im sorry my dumb ass forgot to mention i was using mods. Nothing crazy, just QoL stuff like the planting everywhere, cooking skill, blacksmithing, etc. I hadn't considered any of those were the culprit, though the plant anywhere definitely seems like it could have been an issue.

And to the person mentioning digging below my plot in the meadows to make sure there isn't a boulder or something beneath my farm, i'll get on that as well. Didn't realize underground rocks were a thing, still pretty new here.

By extension, does that mean copper spots go underground as well and its not just the surface stones?

Yes copper spots can go underground

did some digging, no rocks beneath the plot, re-installed the mods and the problem persisted. Just disabled another mod that added the ability to tweak plot sizes, im thinking it might be out of date and bugged with the midsummer update

The entire area was leveled, cleared of rocks, fenced off and then cultivated so its empty, and it still says that there isn't enough room, like its a carrot, it needs a 1x1 tile to itself, not an entire plot the size of a copper deposit

im assuming you are in a meadows or BF...can you cultivate an area somewhere else in game also a meadows and get same result?

You are probably using mods. Try disabling them using a mod manager like "ThunderStore".

ThunderStore is highly recommended when modding as it not only allows for individual configuration, downloading, updating, deleting and en-/disabling mods, but also features a download store where you can download 1400 mods.

Could be a large rock ''under ground'' so you can't see it on the level surface. I had issues with that in a build I did in Black Forest. Plains have the same problem, lots of buried & unrevealed rocks.

Try digging down into the plot, this could be the issue.

cleared of rocks before or after leveling? Cause underground rocks is a problem too

Good idea, didn't think about underground rocks...

Probably a rock close by. Or another plant.
