I don't usually complain but this could cause real world accidents

As I made my first exploration of the Plains and kept encountering the little flying, BUZZING devils known as Deathsquitos I became sensitized to the sound. Since I was only Bronze Age they could easily kill you in the right situation. One must keep themselves on a hair-trigger to defend against the 6-legged monsters or face the consequences. Deathsquitos just sound too much like real world mosquitoes.

Where I live the climate is now conducive to mosquitoes and there are a lot of them. I can't count how many times I've been outside and suddenly hear the adrenaline producing buzz of a marauding Culicidae. My Valheim induced instinctive reaction often results in my arms flailing, head ducking and hands trying to grab a weapon. Just the other day I spilled a beer while grilling some chicken when dive bombed by the blood sucking demons. The BBQ tongs in my hand became an instrument of terror. Thank goodness no one else was nearby.

Where do I submit an invoice for replacing my beer? :steammocking:

All joking aside I really did do some kneejerking to real mosquitoes during my early adventures in the Plains lol

Maybe the mosquitoes where I live are a bit more intimidating....

Yes it is the tiny mosquito, rounding off at around 750,000 annually. More than snakes, sharks, dogs and other humans combined!

Is it though?...it's not the mosquito itself that does the killing. Never heard of a person bleeding out from the actual puncture wound :P

If anything the mosquitoes should find the deadly viruses and bacteria as big a threat as we do. It's killing their live stock!

With our local (and normal) number of swarms the preferred method involves a flamethrower and/or fuel air bomb. City ordinances be damned!

Got an electric racket always on reach near my Desktop.

They often get stuck to it after the first 'zap'. At which point I repeatedly light the thing up... and grim at the smell of burnt stolen blood.

Less suspicious than having a magnet handy for your hard drive.

Haha, yes, I can completely relate. Thankfully we don't have skeeters were we live, but, damn', yes, even their smaller sisters are a nuisance.

Considering close to a million dead every year IRL from them, your PTGD reaction isn't overkill at all...
