Definitely. Personally, I'm using a mod that lets me plant berry bushes, mushrooms, and small trees and bushes; and another mod which allows us to bring metals through portals. It's made the grind so much more tolerable and I can focus on building our little town in the black forest.

Berries and mushrooms aren't a grind.
Neither is wood.

Mods that effectively eliminate game mechanics (gathering and sailing) to make things easier are ones I'll never use or recommend.

I just thought it was weird you couldn't grow berry bushes. Also they're pretty. I enjoy sailing and all but I don't want to spend hours of my time hauling metal over and over when everything is insanely expensive.

OP should try the new content for a bit, befor he starts installing mods.
There is alot of great mods out there, i think i'm running 45 mods atm.
