Fermentation

I understood that the fermentation was going to be long but... an hour of gameplay? For one potion? It has taken weeks just to prepare for one boss fight.

I love how you wrote up this comment after reading through everything and you just straight up call "taking your time" and "preparing with time" excuses.

Dude, not everyone is as impatient as you. You literally bumrush the bosses without building stuff up, no wonder you find it boring to wait through the fermenting process.

I hadnt even touched the Dragon Boss for weeks while my fermenter was making potions as I was just building up my homestead. Yall are impatient af.

Upon putting in the first batch to ferment, i too felt it like a huge letdown, until i found out each bowl gives you 6 bottles... that's exactly one hour of poison/frost resistance, just what you need to have the next batch ready! so i honestly don't see the issue there

Works fine for me. Pitch some mead base, go about your busines exploring or mining, what ever. Make some more mead base of whatever you need next, pitch it when the other is ready, go about your business, repeat. Same for smelting, farming. Its just part of the routine.

I usually end up with more meads than I can use pretty quickly. Hardly make it through 2 batches of frost resistance mead before I have a wolf cape, then that mead is not really needed.

Honestly, just make some while you are building, mining or exploring and fighting. That way you can get around just waiting for it. Cause yea, waiting for it can be boring but luckily you can always get around that by keeping busy.

Additionally, what other people said also, you can make multiple fermenters and get more for the same amount of time, so all in all its fairly balanced. Especially considering the health potions while you are on high food.

If i remember correctly sleeping still counts toward processing times. So sleeping when you can will help speed up the process.

Why would you use a mod to decrease the amount of mead you get from fermenting by 83%?

I agree. It's just like real life. In the food industry it's always best to keep pre cooked food for the next customers honor. Same things goes for Valheim game. OP if you're still reading this, I recommend you listen.

If the wait for 6 of a single type is too much, just build multiple fermentors. You can them do multiple stacks of one, or a
Six pack of several types. Also Imd say keep your brewing up while out and stockpile what you don’t yet need in some chests. That way you can have them when you need them.

one fermenter is enough... you wont use the batch of 6 in a boss fight.. if you do.. you are doing something wrong :D

It's fine unless you are just using 1 and even then if you just need resistance potions you'll still be fine. Kinda like farming, raising pigs / wolves and waiting for certain things to respawn. It takes time so it's good to find something else you can do while waiting and then check back every once in awhile.
