Well this sucks
Not being able to ore kind of sucks.
We spawend portals all over the place, but to mine metals we literally have to salvage and move place constantly.
Is there a way to move Ore tough portals?

Build longship sail from ore to smelter , destroy longship in shallows.retrieve all mats.. portal back to mine site..rinse and repeat having moder power helps at a pinch :-)

only with modsMe and my friends are not using mods (yet), but yea I thought there is upgrade to the portal or something. I don't know what is the developer idea behind it, but the world is kinda of big and having to constantly move forges, because of not being able to transport sucks...

there is no upgrade.
as for the Developer's idea around it, one didn't want portals at all, another did, they settled it with having portals but with restrictions.
