Why no progress on carts
So I can see vast demand for improved carts dating back huge periods of time (13 months or so), with particular demand on making them less buggy and have a re-right functionality other than running into them for endlessly.
Yet nothing
Yet nothing

Calling people brainwashed because they do not commit "user errors" is rude. All the "aggravation" people are suffering from is caused by themselves. Funny how this brainwashed community attacks you for wanting to make a game mechanic not aggravating.
1. Carts do not flip over by themselves.
You literally have to be on an incline going perpendicular to the incline to get it to roll over.
2. Flipping your cart back over.
Build a workshop bench. Destroy the cart, grab the parts, and make it again. Not complicated.
3. Weight matters.
The heavier a cart is the hard it is to push. At 2000 weight you can expect to not be able to go uphill anymore. Take some weight out, pull the cart to the top of the hill and then put the stuff back in.
4. Hoe.
You have a hoe for a reason. Spending fifteen minutes making a road is far better than spending twenty minutes per trip hauling a cart through the rough terrain. The flat roads make it so carts do not flip over. Making roads also a non boring way to collect resources rather than chopping and regrowing the same trees.
5. Carts do not break on their own.
For a cart to break that means mobs are damaging it or you are running into objects because you refuse to make a road. You drive a car on a road and not randomly through the woods and rough terrain. Your car breaks if you did.
So what you are saying is the game needs an actual ramp carts can use. So not a cart issue. Have you tried using steps instead? Carts suck, mine damages itself going up and down the ramp into my warehouse (made from the lowest degrees thatch roof).
That would be good because they could give the cart better weights mechanics. Like instead of a 2000 weight cart it pulling hard, it could pull as if it only weighed 1500 instead. Maybe a upgrade option to give the cart iron wheels and reinforcement? or a second cart, maybe a big wagon 4-wheel other people can catch a ride in?

Sometimes my cart will destroy bushes, othertimes my cart will get stuck, othertimes it will just damage itself.
I make a road, flat wide, no steep inclines. Stupid stones respawn in the middle of my road, cart bounces around damages itself. Sometimes it just randomly bounces and damages itself.
One time I ran to my cart, bumped it and it flipped around before destroying itself. (full of wood too). My carts are repaired to 100% evertime I grab one.
It's useless if I have to walk slowly for it to not damage itself and can't even pull it up/down a ramp without damage? Useless if I have to "half fill" it. Useless if it cant make it up any type of incline FROM AN IN GAME BUILDABLE OBJECT.
Yeah, buggy as ♥♥♥♥ mate. Mine break all the time under what I consider general usage, cart must be made of bark, bronze nails and wood my arse.
Maybe a upgrade option to give the cart iron wheels and reinforcement? or a second cart, maybe a big wagon 4-wheel other people can catch a ride in?

They are ok for a farm for mobile storage or whatever. It's what I use mine for usually.

@Nosebagbear
Have you ever tried to push or pull a full cart in real life? How does the cart behave differently in the game than it current life ?

Comparing Valheim physics to real life doesn't make any sense. You can craft iron equipment using 100+ iron bars per piece, yet that equipment weighs many times less than a single iron bar used to craft it. @Nosebagbear

That's why the cart should be balanced around the fact that metals weigh an absurd amount compared to everything else (wood, stone, your own armor).

Carts are awesome, 99% of issues are user error.

Carts are extremely useful until you reach an incline greater then 15%.. or a dandelion. I love the consideration and have used them. I find I have to beat out a trail with the Hoe tool or chisel out a hill to make sure it's as smooth as possible. By the time I've done that I probably could have run back and forth with all the resources I wanted to transport. :)

It all depends on the weight, if you have more than 1000kg of course thats gonna be hard to move. When solo it may not be able to fill completely with ore but put like 3 stacks of ore in cart and another stack on yourself and makes it worth it and easier doing 1 trip instead of 4

Carts do what they do. Ive hauled one through the forest and swamp, and even the plains but if you want to do that, you have the tools to make a road first! You also have the foods and potions to buff stamina so you can run up steeper grades or boost over small obstacles.
How do you flip the thing over on a smooth road? Ive only had one flip, and it was due to a log-troll hit.

How are they buggy? Tipping over a cart is user error. Nothing to fix there.

Carts make me chuckle. They have their own quite complex physics. And they act just like the low level haulers they are. This is pergatory after all. Think of carts and falling trees as your punishment for a life ill-spent.

"particular demand on making them less buggy"? Really? Sure, the devs will drop everything and get on that demand.

Carts are pretty awful to use, at least for hauling metal. It has some utility in hauling lighter like assorted mob drops, but it's very difficult to haul wood or more than a few stacks of metal. Flipped carts are a bit frustrating, as it has to be dismantled and rebuilt.
Sadly there are no pack animals to help with carts.
It's possible to harpoon a player and help pull them along, and thus get more strength into pulling a cart. It is possible to exploit carts by having a friend fill their inventory and sit on top.
