I would go so far as to say that it's a bug that needs/needed to be fixed.

Fixing basic mechanics like losing your rested buff just because you had to log out, or having your weapons drop when you touch water is one thing, but not fixing obvious bugs to accommodate Minecraft-style farms is different.

See I think that is an assumption is that it was not intended or wanted. Were how many years into this game, and breeding towers are still a game. I think Assuming something so many players are or have used is wrong is not a great way for us to forward this conversation. I am all for mechanics that require some time, but there is also the argument of artificial padding the time. Chasing chickens around.. seriously? That said fine, fix them all but also give us some love then on those things you just mentioned and not just a barbershop. Again fine with fixes and adjustments over time within reason but one to many games have used the Were in Beta for 10 years to completely change the core of how it was played so I comment on things like that. Can you say Warframe? That was my two cents for whats it worth.. have a GREAT game!

ps on the chickens that was the opinion of other players on the server.. I had Zero time invested in them other than wishing they were not in my forge. But since it was something that people I play with mentioned and I was mentioning other breading mechanics it seemed timely.

You just have to put the chickens in a proper coop, and you don't have to chase them down. Go into the coop, hack and slash for a few seconds and you have a week or two worth of chicken. Throw down a pile of seed, and you're done. Where is time being artificially padded? I think farming the seed is more time consuming than harvesting the chicken.

Reduce your wolves from four to three and you might have more success. I believe that was the only big change that was made on wolf breeding towers in the recent past. The video tutorial I followed and pulled all my information from was this:

You are right on the farming... my buddy is taking a break he was our farmer.. me the builder of forges and such... but stam is so so critical you cant ignore it. Anyway again have fun in game :) Off to try 3 and hope some of the hours were not a waste.
Last thought? Same limits on Boar? They were next since our farmer is on break.

What stuff did you buy from the trader related to towers?!?!?! You buy two eggs. End of story. You seem too invested in a game quirk that was never meant to be part of the basic mechanics.

If they turned off towers that would be the day I would probably walk to man of us have breeding towers, I get its not a full game, but its not a new game either that would be a slap in the face. You can still breed in towers I have one wolf set that works.. it was when i built a mirror set of two everything stopped. And like I said was a bit bent. I may try taking one wolf away.. maybe 3 can breed.. almost positive it was not 4 in 10 pre mistlands or maybe when they did the ice caves? And that is disappointing. Thanks!

chicken change was it would work with towers since the egg spawned in a vicinity.. now it spawns Directly under.. or so I am told by our chicken guy... totally negated the tower we took time to build and arguably all the stuff we bought from the trader.. at least for now. To me the chickens are an annoying mess, not a fan of them everywhere in our area but hoping our chicken guy fixes that soon.

I believe at some point they removed wolf breeding if they are not on the ground which nerfed towers. I don't think this was that recent though. Months ago at least.

I have no idea what the 'chicken change' is supposed to be since chickens just arrived.

4 wolves in 10 meters of space including the pregnant wolf. Partner has to be within 3 meters. Pups and piggies no longer pass through walls or floors though the adults can still clip through. Eating range for wolves is 1.4 meters

You're going to have to explain what you're asking about. I have no idea what "4 wolfs in sky" is, nor what radius you're talking about. How close you have to be for them to breed? I haven't heard of a change. I also haven't heard of a change with chickens, other than that they remember their color. Did something else change?

it used to be you could have wolves (up to at least 4) within a radius.. spawn little wolves if you fed them. And if you put them up in a breeding tower the little wolves fall and dont impact the count. Now I resurrect a old idea (version 2) and make an amazing build with 4 wolves up in a breeding tower.. no dice. It seems they changed something. And based what I saw on Mistlands and a few quality of life things they never implemented, and the change to chicken breeding that screwed a lot of builds I can imagine these Devs beign a bit Anal... IT is the one thing I do not like on this game.. they keep working it but heaven help us we get a few things tuned in our favor, like stamina food, buffs staying on logout (for us adults with lives) water not putting your weapons away. I am a bit bent to be honest something I worked on, farmed for, that should have worked took a ♥♥♥♥.

ive only ever used two of boars and wolves.. strangely though in an open field i seem to be able to breed close to 40 Lox just by dropping food and pushing them together a fair bit.. now i just run around dropping food and hey self generate... be nice if wolves n boars did the same
