higher tier leather armour would be nice for lighter builds

personally prefer daggers (no move speed penalty and slight manoeuvre while attacking) and troll leather top and legs with highest tier helmet (cause helmets dont impact movespeed) for 100% speed. i've skipped out on iron and silver top/legs so far, but i'm almost at the blackmetal age now and i highly doubt it's viable once i hit the plains. It's already a bit iffy at the mountain but good enough.

troll leather can be acquired right at the start of the game and its a shame its the best leather you can get, once into higher tiers every character is pretty much shoe-horned into being heavy armour guy.

do you guys have any idea how nice it has been playing this game, and not having to unequip my torso, legs, and weapon whenever i want to run somewhere?

before the inevitable "git gud" -> i dont want it to be OP or make the game easier, it would still obviously provide way less protection than the metal armours

Use the run buff.

Sans that, I'm really not sold on a need in purgatory for another set of armor.

I agree. There is no reason to not have more armor sets to choose from.

lvl 4 troll armor + any high lvl armor helmet you have. ( I used drake helmet ) There is your lighter armor build.
I managed to survive the plains with those. Of course it means you can't tank a mob of goblins but with bow and some sneak if should be pretty easy.

the run buff doesnt increase your speed from 80-85% back to 100%. my point was that its just annoying having to unequip and re equip ♥♥♥♥ all the time. my run skill is about 80 i dont really need eikthyr as i dont have stam problems just the speed is annoying

that's the exact build that i'm using(all max tier), but even with serpent stew+serpent meat+sausages it's still dangerous af, when i run into a two star wolf in the mountains it is hitting over 80 dmg per hit. and with how bad people have been complaining about tar slimes i'm about 80% sure i'm gonna have to ditch it and go full armour like every single other playthrough. I'm still gonna try it obviously but it just seems a bit poo how the best leather items in the game are obtainable from day 1. i was looking forward to wolf or lox leather etc but nothing

plus the Circlets with lower values on the right and some tools (yes the axe is a real hardcore cheese, its on you if you want it as tool)
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2611825559
+ my delivery guy (Just legit stuff for the case i want it on a new Map)

(Edot Damn forgot the Pickaxe. Edit Fixed)

Works in the vanilla game

I'm actually kicking around learning to mod Valheim JUST so I can put in balanced sets of light armor.

I personally love the light armor gameplay, but I don't want to be insta-squished after the swamp biome. Wish the developers would add it in.
