Tired of the apologetics. Hold devs responsible for this dumpster fire.

After any announcement there's always a flood of people running to the devs' defense.

"Take the time to make it great!". "I'm a developer so I understand why [blank]". "Everything looks so nice...". "I don't have that issue so it must not be an issue." "They're doing the best with only this many developers".

No one is denying that they have limited resources. Know what? IT DOESN'T MATTER.

The devs are responsible for publishing the roadmap. The devs are responsible for setting expectations. The devs are responsible for communicating their intentions and status. The devs are responsible for choosing the content they wish to bring to the game. Not the players, the devs.

Don't make excuses for them. Don't believe their crocodile tears. Don't try and blame other players when they point out problems.

They had all the time in the world to revise their roadmap. They CHOSE to over-promise, because it sells games.

They were surprised about the volume of bugs? They made the darned thing, and did it poorly. They had ample opportunity to own up and revise expectations. They CHOSE to obfuscate and avoid, because it sells games.

They had months to be honest about hearth and home. They CHOSE this pitiful feature set. They said it was nearly done when it had barely started. Because it sells games.

They could put in a simple toggle in settings (maybe an hour to code and test) to let YOU choose whether you want to portal metal around. Does it not occur to you that this seems a trivial thing for the devs to be so stubborn about? Easy portals makes the game shorter. Shorter means less value. Less value means less sales. It's really that simple.

(Pro-tip: never let a game developer tell you you are playing their game wrong!)

I'm sick and tired of folks standing up for this nonsense. Hold these devs responsible.

Agree on this point, but there are ways to work around this, with or without mods, so the point is mute. Furthermore, I couldn't disagree with you more on the rest...Valheim is an awesome game. Even though some of us here may disagree about the portals, we overwhelmingly agree that the game is great and Iron Gate is a real breath of fresh air in the dev community. Try getting a refund as others have said or maybe now that you've had your catharsis you can get back to one of the best games on PC...Valheim! BTW, check out the update on development they put out today, it looks awesome!
Come on man, just chill out and have fun playing something else if you've finished the available content.

You can go get a refund if you're that upset, i'm not disagreeing with what you're saying but pointing fingers and throwing a tantrum won't speed up the games development nor will it sway the developers plans, of course failing to deliver the roadmap is disheartening and will lose the respect of many players but you're wasting your time posting stuff like this, we all know in the back of our minds the possibility of failure and as each day passes by more and more people lose faith in Valheim. The moral of this reply is basically save your breath for something worth your time

Not allowing you to port medal is a design decision to get players to build out into the world instead of just throwing up portals all over the place. They could make it optional but chose not to. Bugs...for an early access game, this one was pretty solid. As for the rest, you bought the game, you got more than your money's worth, they don't owe you anything. If they fall down on getting Hearth and Home or any other additional content out, then they won't sell anything more and Valheim will fade into obscurity, though it will always have a niche market for survival game enthusiasts.

Are you a game developer?

Come back in two years. Maybe you've grown up, calmed down and ready to apologise.

Nothing to apologise for he is entitled to his own opinion but seriously it's not worth stressing out over it, if you buy a game and you're not happy, simply go get a refund and move on

Everybody is entitled to his own opinion, including people that choose to be more understanding and patient.

Wow. I wish I had the energy and need to get that worked up over a $20 computer game.

Wait till the real world starts smacking you in the face OP.

I either just fed a troll... or a cushioned self entitled princess.
