Its a game update and not a DLC.
Those two terms are basically mutually exclusive.

Hmmmmmm. I don't know on that one. For me, if I saw "Update" I would assume they are just updating the game which I already paid for. "DLC" to me would mean that it is something new to the game to expand on it and it will be paid for.

Just me though. Rock on!

DLC means you have to pay, FLC is a free one.
Warhammer 1-2 have FLCs which are DLCs that are free.

This updated got the label update, it says so on the old and new roadmap.

Please show me where DLC always has a cost, because that is simply untrue. DLC= Downloadable Content. Has nothing to do with it being free or cost money. If it adds to a game and you have to download it, it is DLC.

There are no official definitions on these things. You wont find this stuff in Merriam-Webster's Dictionary.

Generally if its not optional ie: a patch with fixes, changes, and updates is called an"Update" or "Patch"
If its something you can choose to integrate into your game, free or not, Its called a "DLC".
Ill be honest... FLC is something ive rarely seen pushed as a term.

but you can call ♥♥♥♥ what you want. Just be aware that if you use terms "against the grain" as it were, people will get a little confused.

DLC in normal usage means it is not part of the main game. It's optional downloadable content, sometimes free, sometimes paid. They key is it is optional, not a required part of the game. As H&H is not optional separate content it's not a DLC. It is an update.

In a screenshot with the wood wolf head, below was a decorative window, well...
In the animation, they are seen as half wide interior pieces, and if that holds up, also in the animation were decorative curved brackets(?).

everyone has been guessing but i dont think that irongate has ever said.

People are saying hearth and home will be fine with old worlds and that once they add new biomes, all the mistland you have explored now in your world, won't fill out. Any that you havent explored in your world yet, will.

I plan to start a new world anyways. Waiting until sep 16 to start playing again

Some updates will most likely need new worlds to be created I'm afraid (the new biome for example), but your old worlds should still be intact
