Or simply use all that stone and raise the ground around your vein so high that not even drakes are a problem

Put down some work benches. It stops spawning. I have done it and it works.

Seen the same thing with trolls recently, probably an update bug.

Odd. I'd guess it' a bug, too. I mine quite a bit and there are a couple spots that seem to respawn golems nearby, but I never get attacked by anything other than drakes at my current mining spot. This spot has several silver ore nodes in one place so I do a lot of digging there.

I fully excavate silver veins before I mine them. The walls are (usually) steep enough that wolves and golems can't reach me.

I had this happen a couple times as well at a specific spot. Had to put down a workbench to stop them from spawning so i could mine

this tbh. they might look scary and they attack but they cant reach me once i start mining

I see, this makes alot of sense, Ill have to try that with the workbench.

Pretty sure that spot is just bugged though, cause just down the mountain there are drakes, wolves and stone golems spawning in the meadows

For me they would spawn 2 min after i killed one, so it was impossible to mine the silver ore without distraction :)

Ya, I always expose the entire vein of ANY ore before harvesting...and just give yourself a way out of the pit. I find that this keeps the annoyance factor of spawns interrupting work to a minimum. Plus, I just find exposing the entire node makes mining easier, if you dig under far enough, by striking and destroying the most bottom part of the node connecting it to 'foundation' it will instantly splinter the entire node....unless that has changed?
