Does it feel weird to anyone when you place your fermenters right next to your cauldron and fires? OSHA would s*** bricks. It is the most convenient location but it still does not sit quite right with me.

In my farm, one of my early builds, the fermenter was safely away from the fire. In my tavern it is closer, but at least not right AT the fire.

But the farm of my second char has the fermenter right at the fire... Maybe I should move it somewhere else, before my house tries to disintegrate itself in a ball of fire... But there's no room! :D

Valheim actually gets it wrong. A fermenter is the active agent such as yeast, which generates the fermentation process. A fermentor is the vessel in which fermentation takes place. That being said, I did not place mine near my hearth either, but not because I was thinking it seemed unsafe. Now if it was a distiller, there is cause for worry. The alcohol content of the liquids present during fermentation is so low there is very, very little danger or flammability due to an open flame.
