Bonemass followed by Elder due to having actual fight mechanics. Moder was a walkover. Yagluth was barely any better.

It was Moder for me, a frozen hell. I won on the third try.
Mostly because of the combination of factors.
1. the terrain, a cliff on top of a mountain, really small to fight a dragon, and taking the eggs to the top was a nightmare.
2. How long it was, it took me almost three days ingame to kill her, my weapons broke and I got out of arrows in my previous attempts.
3. Plus, at night, drakes, wolfs and a golem spawned just next to the cliff and the space was so small that it was impossible to avoid them.
4. Since I made sure to be super prepared to fight every boss before Moder, I think I just underestimate her and didn't bring enough potions and weapons.

Depends, but the toughest for me was Bonemass, mainly because I was under geared. It took me a long time before I even found Yag and by then I had plenty of silver and black metal. Moder was also tough, but also fought with good gear. Bonemass was fought with troll armour. I don't think it was upgraded due to the requirement of obsidian to upgrade the work bench. Laziness/tedium in mining kept me from getting enough for other armour pieces. ...and the swamp area in general is tough to fight in.

Fulings actually tough boss for me bonemass, I didn't level ground and danced around a very small ring of land the alter is on using all potions brought for fight. Elder was a close second for tough boss

Bonemass and the exploration of swamps. It's mostly I have no idea on what to expect back then. It's hard but it is quite the adventure.

Moder. Took me 3 tries to kill her. Ran out of daylight, wolves and drakes joining the fight..... Was a nightmare.

Freaking Bonemass the first time we tried. Didn't look up anything on how to do it, other than bringing poison potions. Died more in that fight than the entirety of total playtime even now lol

Elder, IMO, followed closely by Bonemass, though none of them were especially difficult. Elder just because he required me to be most mobile out of all of them. Eikthyr has basically never even hurt me to this day, nor has Moder, and Yagluth has never gotten me below 90%. Bonemass is just hard because terrain often sucks.

If we're talking about having the best gear up to beating that boss, I would say Yagluth, meteor spam and any goblins that spawn make it quite difficult, you also need fire resistance or get vaporized immediately by meteors or if you run out of stamina right when he does his beam attack. Even with max armor and weapons you have to be careful.

If we're talking killing the boss in suboptimal gear then Bonemass. He's a DPS check.

For me it was the plains boss because it took me quite a bit of time exploring before I found his location, then just the shear difficulty jump from Mountains to Plains is quite a difference with having to be on constant guard of you food, raiding Fulling villages to find the Barley, and flax, then making a safe place in the plains to grow both on a farm. Getting my gear fully upgraded didn't take long, and the boss in general isn't to bad if you use silver arrows, and sword since he's undead. Its the plains biome itself that I think was the true boss in the progression after The Mountains.

First time is always the worst though. After a few worlds you work out ways to make the fights easier. The first time for all the fights I went in not knowing anything or looking up anything. Pretty brutal ha ha.

I think Moder was hardest for me due to the terrain and the whole 1 egg at a time situation. , but Yagluth takes the most time as I’m stubborn and stick to my clubs my porcupine is down to about 10% by the end. Maybe the spirit dmg from Frostner would be better?
