Given how absolutely nothing was added to the game for non builder players over almost 2 years, it is more of a casual walk then anything.

But he LIKES Valheim. I have oodles of games on my computer too (inside and outside of Steam) but there are five that I play with any sort of regularity, Valheim is one of them. LOL

I really like Valheim as well. But I’m also familiar with how EA works and have almost 140 other games to keep me busy.

Not to mention I live in Florida and have the beach, gym, etc. Having quite a bit of fun playing NMS again too.

Why would they bother, tho? You already paid, frankly they sold like 95% life time sales potential. They're too busy spending all those millions they've made. 😏

I trhink teh content on offer in fron of teh asking price is more than decent, that said it sure takes a long time to deliver those roadmap promises. The overhaul of boats and the sea at this pace won't come before 2028 or something.

The question is: would people have any interest in coming back then?

For the record, I stopped playing Valheim in June 2021 and since then I've enjoyed playing 26 other games. I'll be happy to jump back in when Mistlands drops, but I'm not going to waste any of my time pretending I'm in a coma o.O

EA 101
Early Access is play test it for a bit, stick it on the shelf until something of interest is added... rinse and repeat... for years until it is complete.

It's amazing how a good thing (spending a horse to a riding school) is turned into something bad by the haters. I wish more studios/companies were so generous.

One of the great things about RNG map generation is that each world is different.

Unless you just want to make one base and bring everything there, the game can be played very differently depending on resources relative placement.

Also if it has been a while since you played you may want to check out all the changes by playing a new world with a new character anyway just to understand the new mechanics.

That said though if killing bosses is all that is interesting in this game to you then maybe you should just find another game and come back to this one in a few years when it is complete.

I've got to chim in and dissagree with you on that. The recent update and patchs broke my installs. Twice.

I've had to roll back and lock Valheim at version .209 to get the game working again. Very annoying. Not going to let updates get installed for a while. At least not until I'm sure IG has gotten things worked out so my install won't get borked again.

I do however agree 100% that we need new, real, content. A new armor set and a few mobs in low tier existing biomes don't count in my book. I'm waiting, still, for Mistlands.

It’s like some people don’t have a life beyond waiting for new content for this specific game.
