Judging by the speed and content of their updates I would expect June - July and the entire roadmap will take at least 2 years.

This isn't a useful estimate. There haven't been any large content updates for you to come to your conclusion about the supposed 'speed' of development. It's also not the case the developing a game is a regular, linear progression. Some updates will be released quicker then others. The road map clearly states their objectives for 2021, and there isn't any reason that I can see to assume they can't accomplish their goals.

The game has only been out a month and several patch notes indicate that this isn't the case.
